Annie Hutchins Parr is a multi-disciplinary fiber and printmaking artist from Raymond, Mississippi. Her current body of work deals with feelings of loss, memory, and motherhood. In her work, she is investigating the relationships of women through the traumas of femininity.

Parr holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Mississippi, where she worked primarily in printmaking. She is pursuing her MFA at East Tennessee State University with her anticipated graduation date being Spring 2025.

Parr utilizes family artifacts and photographs to create the imagery in her art. Her aims to reuse items that had connections to the women who came before her. She works in fiber processes such as quilting, weaving, and embroidery as a way to connect to women’s history in craft.
